This paper presents the development of RSImpact model, a data-driven macroscopic road safety impact model designed to support scenario-based policy assessment through the integration of forecasting and backcasting capabilities. The model aims to assist national decision-makers in evaluating the effects of road safety policies and programmes on fatalities, injuries, and associated socioeconomic outcomes, within a unified analytical framework.
