The main aim of the Conference is to improve upon the existing knowledge in the area of road safety and contribute to reduce number of accident fatalities and injuries occurring worldwide, through the dissemination of innovative research and applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrso.ntua.gr\/rss2022\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">8th RSS 2022 International Conference<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\"> <\/span>will take place on&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">08-10 June in Athens<\/span><\/strong>, Greece, hosted by the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrso.ntua.gr\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">National Technical University of Athens Road Safety Observatory (NRSO)<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in cooperation with the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ses.gr\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (HITE)<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"color:#0000ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/span><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">under the auspices of the&nbsp;<\/span><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofathens.gr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">City of Athens<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">&nbsp;and the<\/span><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">&nbsp;<\/span><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yme.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-cyan-blue-color\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">The Conference&#8217;s theme this year will be: &#8220;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Road Safety and Digitalization<\/span><\/strong>&#8221; aiming to capture all recent trends in road safety emerging technologies, surrogate measures, augmented and virtual reality, big data, modeling and simulation, which are expected to boost global road safety in the coming years.
