Accompanied Driving at 17 years old, December 2021

For the implementation of the "Driving Safely" law of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministerial Decree for the accompanied driving of young people aged 17 years old and above was issued. A temporary accompanied driving license is granted to drivers who have reached the age of 17 and have been successfully trained and examined. Young drivers are allowed to drive only within their residence Regional Unit and especially for the Attica Region within their Region, with a co-driver over 25 years old, who holds a valid driving license for at least 5 years. In addition, it is mandatory to display an “Σ” black plate on the back of the vehicle driven, as an identification of the drivers who have not reached the age of 18 years old.
