Karagiannis: Road safety with targeted interventions, May 2022

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Giorgos Karagiannis presented the targeted road safety interventions of the Ministry in the workshop titled "Sustainable and Safe Cities", which was organized by the Department of Forestry and Management of the Environment and of Natural Resources on May 26, 2022 in Orestiada. The Deputy Minister pointed out that there can be no sustainability without safety and this conceptual connection was crucial for the elaboration of the National Road Safety Strategic Plan 2021-2030, with specific actions, schedules and quantitative goals. In addition, he was referred to the 775 million euros road safety specific interventions of the Ministry of Infrastructure, in all Greek regions, both on the national and on the rural network.
