The objective of this research is to analyse parameters having an impact on two-wheel vehicle traffic safety.  Disaggregate data on road accidents of the National Statistical Service of Greece have been used for the establishment of the link between two-wheel vehicle accidents and the road environment (area type, weather conditions, lighting) as well as the two-wheel driver characteristics (age, helmet use).  The analysis of these parameters led to useful conclusions for the two-wheel vehicle traffic behaviour in relation to road safety, revealing thus a number of necessary priority interventions for the improvement of two-wheel traffic safety level.
