The new Law 3897/2010 prepared by the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport & Networks, establishing the National Road Safety Council and the General Diretorate for Road Safety of this Ministry, is in force since December 10th, 2010.  The National Road Safety Council aims to support the various activities of the national road safety policy.
